 Do you need information and support with breastfeeding?

 • Your midwife and health visitor will help and support you during pregnancy and after you have had your baby.
• Local breastfeeding drop-in groups run by health professionals and breastfeeding counsellors can also offer additional help and support.
• Meet other mothers informally over a friendly cup of tea and get help with any breastfeeding questions.

  • Breastfeeding counsellors are mothers who have breastfed themselves.
  • They have trained with one of the voluntary organisations and can give help and support by phone (or occasionally at home).
  • They are keen to offer support to other breastfeeding mothers, but please remember they do so as volunteers.
